I am now going into the second week of my training. I have made a few discoveries within the first week of my research. I started out at 23% body fat. My goal is to get down to 15% by the end of the project. This week my body fat measured at 24% my muscle mass was actually reduced and I lost a total of 5 pounds in the first week. I have made the discovery that I will not be able to take in as many carbohydrates and need to increase healthy fats and clean proteins. I did not eat a lot of carbohydrates but what i did during the week contributed to the increase in body fat. Even when I eat carbohydrates I do not feel as good as when I eat clean and eat more vegetables or proteins. I have also found that I work out better in the evenings after 8 o'clock. I had a minor setback this weekend when I went away. I do not have access to my normal routine. So this week will be a little more difficult coming back from that and hopefully maintaining the progress I had. To also decrease my fat mass I will be doing a 15-day metabolic cleanse program so I will be having shakes for 15 days.

Griffin 2/22/21This is my first blog entry for my genius hour project . I am getting together my food plans. All of my workouts planned, also which days I will be working out and what will be working out for that day. Also which days I will be running and/or biking. As well as planning out when and how many times I will be measuring my body composition. My food schedule will also cycle throughout the course of time but all sticking to low carbohydrates modest to high fat and moderate protein. I think I will be able to achieve these macros through modified ketogenic or paleo type diet types. I am also taking a high quality multivitamin-mineral and Omega. Keeping a schedule of daily work outs mixing Cardio and resistance training with flexibility sessions. I do not like the flexibility part but I will try to get that in at least one to two times per week. ArchivesCategories |
